- Greetings, welcome to the GTP blog! -

In 2003, Gametime Photography made its opening pitch to the parents and
boards of area leagues in response to increasing demand for high
quality sports action photos. Gametime Photography (GTP) is based in NW
Houston, TX. We are family owned and operated.

GTP strives to offer extremely high resolution photos through the
ease and convenience of online ordering. Online viewing of your photos
makes it easy to share events with family and friends. All of this is
achieved by utilizing the latest digital camera technology and the
skills of a professional photographer. Digital photography also allows
us to create prints beyond traditional photos, such as custom posters.

“I love to take photographs that draw an audience into a captured
moment in time. More than just grabbing the attention of the viewer, my
goal is to hold their attention,” says owner Sonny Cantu. “The
perfected use of light, shadow, and color combined with high resolution
quality will keep the audience focused on the art of the game."

Oh sure, you can take those pictures yourself, but you’re too
caught up in the excitement of someone hitting a long ball to center
field and your child makes a diving catch. After it’s over, then you
remember the camera sitting on the bleacher. How about when the
pictures you do take are not quite in focus, or your seat is too far
away to zoom in on your own child? GTP gets the best angles and
unobstructed views! So stand up to cheer for your child’s shining
moments and let Gametime Photography provide the candid action
photographs of your child participating in their event.

GTP covers all types of sporting events and no athlete is too
young. We specialize in high quality action photography of individual
athletes, teams, and events. Youth leagues and school sports make up
the bulk of our business. If you are not familiar with Gametime
Photography, then I would like to hear from you. Please let me know
your needs and questions by e-mailing us.

Unveiling New “Stuff” in June 2009

What did not change? You will get the personal touch. We make a point to respond to your voicemails and emails as soon as possible by phone! Of course, please advise us of your contact preferences. We will continue to confirm Reservations and questions by email.

Interacting by phone lets us hear how you honestly feel about business matters and conveys our personalities. Sonny and I also love talking to parents, coaches, and players on game day.

We will continue to provide Team and Individual photos as pre-sale events with no session fee. Please Contact Us to schedule your team’s photos.

Now the new “stuff”…

A vacation is just what we needed! Driving all over Texas gave us much needed quality family time. Viewing the beautiful landscape also replenished our creative juices. Gametime Photography is progressing with a new product and sessions!

You know about our Custom Posters. If not, click Galleries to see samples and How to Order for more information. Soon, you will be able to order Custom Trading Cards of your MVP. We will post samples here this summer, just in time for football.

We take Reservations to schedule an event/game for action photography. This includes a fee that is returned 100% as product credit after the event/game is posted. We will focus on one, two, or three players per Reservation. Payment can be divided evenly between these players with up to two Reservations per game (6 players), same team or opponent. Click FAQ and Prices on our website for details.

Drum roll please…

Gametime Photography is branching out to Children, Family, and Senior Sessions. We spent many years polishing our action photography skills and business profile. Be a part of our growth into these new groups! That means we need “models” for all areas of photography. There is no session fee at this time; we just ask that you purchase the prints that you love. Does your family have lots of energy and want to shoot on location? Are you a high school teen graduating in the next 2 years and know you want something trendy or unique? Hours and number of free sessions in each group are limited, so Contact Us ASAP to set up a session date.

New Designs – Custom Trading Cards

Baseball season is over for us this year. But that has not stopped us from creating three new trading card designs. Over the past three months we worked on this set when time permitted.

Now it’s time to get an idea of what you guys think. So photographers, friends, and parents…let us hear your feedback. Tell us what you like, what you don’t like, or what ever you want to say.

We look forward to hearing from you.

Do you Facebook or use other online social networks?

GTP is giving you TWO somethings NEW and very much improved!

Do you Facebook? Sonny and I, Michelle is posting tonight, are on Facebook around the clock. Well, maybe not while at the office or playing with our kids, or driving around town to visit you and take your kid’s photos… but it’s after midnight and these night owls are enjoying the quiet time to work, visit with each other, and catch up with Facebook friends.

So, guess what. We created a super cool Facebook page for (drum roll please) Gametime Photography! Become a fan for more highlight photos, post feedback, and to find future polls and promotions. (P.S. Becoming a fan will not give us access to any of your personal page information beyond the privacy settings you apply.) You don’t need a Facebook account to view the page, but you do need one to become a fan, post and read comments, and interact with us on the GTP page.

PLUS! There are many ways to share action photos with family and friends through the ordering website. The first way is email. When viewing a photo click the ‘Share Photo’ link. You will see three options, Post, Send/Email, and Social Web. Choose Send/Email and fill in the information. The second way is social networks. You can share photos on your Facebook, MySpace, and Twitter accounts. If you have a blog, well there is an option for that, too. When viewing a photo click the ‘Share Photo’ link. This time choose ‘Post’ or ‘Social Web’ for more options.

West University Little League

We had the opportunity to meet some new teams last weekend, the WULL PW7-8 Cobras and Rangers. Thank you Angela Landowski for inviting us out to take action photos of your son on the Cobras. Sonny talked with many welcoming parents and coaches from both teams. He said it was an exciting play off game with a lot of action to shoot. Please contact us at info@gametimephotos.com to reserve your next game.

We hope to see you again soon!

Here are some highlight photos from the game, Faces of West U.  Please leave a comment after viewing and let us know what you think of all the game photos here and in your online ordering album.
